Hey, it's nice to meet you, I'm Mary Craig

What started as a small act of compassion has grown into a ministry serving hundreds of people each week. With support from local churches, businesses, and generous neighbors, Mary’s Mobile Soup Kitchen continues to feed the body and spirit.

“I grew up in a family of eight. We were poor, but we always ate. Sometimes the meals were as simple as mom's canned fruit and homemade bread. I loved those meals. Man, my mom could cook and bake!!

My mother had a deep need to feed folks. She passed that on to me.

I went through a period where I experienced an eating disorder called orthorexia. While in treatment I discovered "Jesus in the basement". That's where they allowed a Sunday service in the basement. :) That day changed my life forever and I now have a fire inside me to help the homeless, food insecure people in our areas. I am truly passionate to help these poor folks. I try not to get caught up in the "why" of homelessness and just serve them as best I can.
